LEYLAND SHOWN IN NEW YORK

ONE of the products of Leyland Motors (Canada), Ltd., was exhibited in the U.S.A. for the first time at the transport vehicle show which opened recently in New York.

The vehicle was a Beaver twin-axled oiler which the company has designed for the North American market and can be used for various tasks. It has a 147-in. wheelbase.

LUNCHEON OF THE M.H.A.T.

THE annual luncheon of the Mansion House Association on Transport will be held on April 5 at the Trocadero Restaurant, London, before the Association's annual meeting. The principal guest will be the Minister of Supply.

AMENDMENT BILL: LAST STAGE THE Transport (Amendment) Bill received its third reading in the House of Lords on Tuesday. The private member's Bill of the same name will come up for second reading in the House of Commons next Friday.

NEW REGISTRATIONS DOWN

NEW registrations of vehicles other than cars and motorcycles fell from 12,537 in October to 11.569 in November. The total for the first 11 months of last year was 144.261.
