Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

East Yorks. Buses

I T is hoped that single-deck under

floor-engined buses of 8 ft. width will soon be introduced by East Yorkshire Motor Services, Ltd. Mr. J. S. Wills, chairman, made this statement at the company's annual general meeting this week.

This year the company's mileage and revenue figures were higher than for 1948. Over 31,000,000 .passengers were carried and 10,000,000 miles covered. Since the end of the war, mileage run has increased by 100 per cent, and passengers carried by 50 per cent.

LUCAS WORKERS SHARE PROFITS rtETAILS have been given of he con stitution of the Lucas Workers' Share Bank, Ltd., which has been established with a capital of £100,000.

Only weekly and hourly paid employees will be eligible to join the bank, and the maximum deposit accepted from each will be £50. At first, the number of depositors will be limited to 2,000, and of these not more than 400 will be staff. Deposits of £5, or multiples of £5, will be accepted at any time and withdrawals will be allowed on a month's notice.

The bank will derive its income from Lucas redeemable preference shares, on which the dividend will be at the same lute as on the ordinary shares.

NEW THROUGH SERVICE

BRADFORD will soon be operating a trolleybus route about seven miles long. New B.U.T. trolleybuses have taken the place of motorbuses introduced temporarily on the abandoned tram route between the city centre and Bradford Moor, and a link-up planned for the New Year will enable a through trolleybus service to be operated from the Bradford Moor side of the city to Bingley and Crossflats, beyond the city boundary on the other side.
