Mr. Godfrey told a correspondent that he is starting a special service for transport managers, which aims at helping them with such problems as licensing, maintenance, and running.

Central Control for Chinese Transport

ALL branches of China's transport are to be controlled by the "Chinese Transportation Co.," according to an official government announcement. The decision was reached at a cabinet meeting following a recommendation by the Ministry of Communications.

The new body will also have under its control the "manufacture and distribution of transportation equipment."
