• The Thornycroft Society is allowing any type of classic vehicle to enter its rally at Basingstoke's War Memorial Park on Sunday 28 June. The society is working on raising enough money to open a museum in Basingstoke for Thornycroft trucks and has called on insurance company Colonial Mutual to sponsor an annual shield for the best presented vehicle.
