• On 6 October Iveco Ford's Langley plant will complete its 100,000th Cargo.

The range, introduced in March 1981, peaked in production with 14,404 vehicles last year, but sales are expected to break that record with 16,000 units this year.

More than 25% of Cargos, amounting to £450 million at today's prices, have been exported. A further 4,300 KD kits for the Australian market are worth some 00 million.

Iveco Ford is to produce a limited edition of the latest 7.5tonne 0815 Cargo (pictured) with sleeper cab, disc brakes all round, and a number of other special features.

A total of 150 special vehicles will be produced for its UK dealerships, with a handf built for export.
