AMERICAN SPRAY INDUSTRIES

• American Spray Industries will show its Sprayfine range of LPHV turbinepowered spraying systems complete with fine-control Touch Tune spray guns. These guns, which are designed for interior spraying, finishing and trim work, are claimed to reduce overspray by 80%.

ASSOCIATED TYRE SPECIALISTS

• ATS offers a single direct link with more than 520 service depots nationwide, claiming a very high standard of service and competitive prices on a range of CV tyres and batteries. This multi-brand operation will give details of how it can service everything from the largest national fleet operation to the one-man band.

AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS

• Automotive Products' stand will feature asbestos-free Borg & Beck driven clutch plates. The new generation of clutch-cover assemblies on show have pull-release for lighter pedal effort, combined with increased clamping capacity. Borg & Beck's range is backed by the Factory Exchange Clutch Service.

Fichte] & Sachs clutches complete the AP range.

BANDAG

• Bandag (Ocean Cory Tyre Co) will launch a new wheel and rim finishing service at the show. This quick, costeffective service refinishes dirty, rusted rims and wheels in a choice of colours.

Also on show by The Bandag Tyre Company will be a new range of lightweight treads, the Lead Series, and its WSW wing tread for wide-single tyre applications.

BAR TECH SYSTEMS

• Bar Tech Systems specialises in two main products — infra-red process heating systems, elements, microprocessor controls and thyristors; and air knife drying systems for removing surface moisture from various manufacturing processes without heat.

The firm will exhibit the Bar Tech range of quartz infra-red space heaters, which have been evolved from experience in infra-red heat processing systems and, says the company, do not suffer from distortion or blackening of the reflectors, or from overheating.

For zone heating the new low-power design focuses high radiant heat in the required areas at long range.

B EAR AUTOMOTIVE

• Bear Automotive (UK) will be launching a range of total-service diagnostic computers whose overall capability is said to provide comprehensive servicing facilities. In addition, says Bear, its automotive diagnostic computers permit futuregeneration capabilities unavailable from its UK competitors.

B ENDIX

• Bendix is a primary supplier of CV air-brake and anti-lock braking systems. The company serves both the original equipment and after-market sectors with new spare parts and a wide range of remanufactured components.

Bendix has a comprehensive nationwide distribution coverage and will be displaying a wide range of components.

B RIDGLSTONE

• Bridgestone will be displaying a new range of R294 and M711 tyres in the following sizes: 275 80 R22.5 148/144L R294; 295 80 R22.5 152/146M R294; 295 80 R22.5 152/146M M711; 315 80 R22.5 154/149M R294; and 315 80 R22.5 154/ 149M M711.

Also on display will be the well established R184 low-platform trailer tyres.

B SC (CONTRACTS)

• Four ranges of products will be shown by BSC. First is the Turbine Series fuel filter/water separator, which is said to remove virtually 100% of water and to filter out solids down to two microns.

Second will be the Spin-on Series fuel filter/water separator, which is similar to the turbine but allows the flexibility of choosing the right element and bowl for specific applications.

The other exhibits will be diesel-engine starting systems working down to –30°F (-25°C); and brake air dryers with waterin-fuel detectors.

DEVILBISS

DIESEL RECON UK

• Diesel Recoil, the only approved source for Cummins remanufactured products in the UK, has a modern 3,700m2 (40,000ft2) plant in Britain where it remanufactures Cummins 14-litre NH/NT engines, together with the 10-litre L10, the V5041V555 range and the B-series.

EDMUNDS WALKER

• Edmunds Walker delivers top-quality parts for all sizes of commercial vehicle, cars and engines of all kinds. Deliveries are daily, and if a component is not at one of the 90 branches it will be received within 25 hours from a central warehouse at Oxford.

ELF OILS

• Elf Oils, one of Europe's leading oil companies, has a range of quality lubricants and allied products for all commercial vehicles. Talk to Elf at the show about your workshop equipment needs including purchase or finance, planning, installation and maintenance.

EUROPEAN TRUCK PARTS

• Thousands of product lines are carried by ETP to suit Daf, Magirus-Deutz, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Scania and Volvo. The company's stand will also have details of its range of replacement parts for BPW, RO-R and SAF trailers.

EXUDE BATTERIES

• Exide says that its batteries are fully able to cope with the strain of the many electrical functions of the latest CVs while providing extra boost for cold-weather starting.

GULF OIL

• In anticipation of future demands, Gulf Oil has uprated its diesel-engine oils to give improved protection and longer engine life. The range comprises Superfleet Special, Superfleet and Super Diesel. The "Uprated Range '88" will feature prominently on the stand and literature will be available.

Gulf Oil will be demonstrating various do-it-yourself oil analysis and diagnosis techniques and show visitors will be welcome to collect a free oil-test kit.

IUIRBORAN

• Impact wrenches, tyre buffing equipment and tools for the accurate tightening of wheelnuts will be displayed on the Harboran stand.

HEFAC ENGINEERING

• Operators who experience winter running problems will be particularly welcome on the Hefac stand to examine its Thermolines and see the list of those who use them already.

HEREFORD PROFILES

• ProLife mobile vehicle lifts with capacities from 16 to 26 tonnes will be launched by Hereford Profiles on its stand in the static display area.

Used in conjunction with axle support stands, a single set of ProLifts can be used to raise any number of vehicles inside or outside the workshop, says ProLift. These lifts are designed to allow clear access to all parts of the chassis and to ease engine and gearbox removal.

INTERFACE

• The NuIon range of engine and transmission treatments will be displayed by Interface this year alongside its wellknown Rhodorseal brand.

Rhodorseal gasket compound is designed to replace all traditional gaskets (except head gaskets) while providing a superior and more durable seal.

NuIon is said to provide the "ultimate" protection against friction and deterioration within the engine, gearbox and differential.

IRTE

• Transport and distribution are major elements of company costs, and control requires skilled management. The Institute of Road Transport Engineers has produced a Workshop Standards Handbook, giving detailed guidelines on fleet maintenance and workshop management.

The handbook is based on practical experience, and follows the widely adopted IRTE Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standard (VMRS).

JAGGARDIS TILTMAN

• _laggard's Tiltman supplies welding tools and related products required for making up and repair.

• Equipment Parts, Sales and Services has been appointed Korody-Colyer distributor for the West Midlands and Wales tc give Cummins users in the UK a greater choice of new and remanufactured engine: and components.

Korody-Colyer claims to be the world's largest manufacturer of Cummins and Detriot Diesel engine components and provides EPS&S with new components for rebuild and over-the-counter sales.

LEYLAND DAF

• Leyland Daf service director Peter Cutmore is presenting a paper at the Workshop Conference on DAVIE (Daf Vehicle Investigation Equipment). Every Leyland Daf dealer can use this diagnostic computer test gear to check for faults in a number of electronic systems on Leyland Daf vehicles.

It can be used to check the electronic air suspension, the ITC integrated temperature control system and the EGAS throttle control on the Leyland Daf 95-series and on other vehicles.

This equipment will be demonstrated in action on a Leyland Daf FT 95.380 Spacecab tractive unit.

LIPE

• Lipe, the manufacturer and supplier of

neavy-duty clutches, will be exhibiting a lumber of models suitable for 300.).,150Nm (225-1,60011)ft) applications.

The range is available in both push and forms, and includes the 13/330, 14LP six-button ceramic, 14-2LP flatlywheel model and the 15/380-2LP.

All models feature stronger dampener sections, increased-diameter springs and roven organic, ceramic and asbestos-free 'acings for increased performance.

LUCAS AUTOMOTIVE

• Lucas Automotive manufactures and nipplies braking systems and components, ncluding master cylinders, slave cylinders, wheel cylinders, lined shoes and )ads, and expanders and adjusters. Find xit more on its stand.

METALAS (UK)

• "Are you cost-conscious? Do you want .0 save time and labour costs? These will x the questions posed by the Metalas :UK) stand, and waiting to answer them gill be the firm's show contact, R C 3oyden, with information on the cleaning ind degreasing components.

The Metalas range of automatic rotary :leaners is in use by more than 3,000 nutlets. A complete diesel engine, says the company, can be cleaned in 20 minutes.

Metalas will also be displaying vapour legreasers: ask for a demonstration.

MICHELIN TYRES

• Michelin, one of the best known aames in transport, is putting on a bigger display this year, with two large exhibits. The company is focusing on tyre care and maintenance to help hauliers improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.

The firm will also be explaining the benefits of Michelin Tyre Management.

New low-profile tyres will be displayed, and a regrooving demonstration given in the designated section of the Telford Exhibition Centre.

MOBIL OIL

• Mobil Oil will feature its support programme for operators using Mobil premium products. The diagnostic sequence begins with a screening test using a Swiss-made power and torque instrument. This hightech "rolling road in a box" uses specialised optics and electronics to measure the engine's speed during free acceleration.

The company's Commercial Vehicle Winterisation Guide advises on the winter protection of fuels, electrics, cooling systems, hydraulics, tyres and visibility.

Also available will be its Winterisation Check List.

MOTALINK

Also on show will be Wolfcraft products including bench grinders and dove-tailers; Frhei drill bits, and Black & Decker tools. The company also markets Handy drill sharpeners.

RUBERY OWEN-ROCKWELL

• With the trend to air suspension in the UK, Rubery Owen-Rockwell will be showing its complete range and featuring the Flexair flexible link air suspension, incorporating the TM-series axle. This combination is becoming increasingly specified by large international fleets.

The two-speed push/pull leg, which will be making its show debut, features a 180° foot specifically designed for airsuspension application.

SCHRADER

• Schrader will be exhibiting its dual tyre pressure equaliser, which balances the air pressure in CV dual tyres and gives a colour-coded guide as to their state of inflation. The company is seeking distributors.

SPENCER HALSTEAD

• The Centriblast range of shot-blasting cleaning machines, much used in the commercial-vehicle refurbishing industry, will he featured on thus stand.

TECALENUT

• Tecalemit claims to offer the largest range of UK-produced garage and vehicle servicing equipment. It will be displaying its wares, including the new DTpapproved electronic brake tester which offers digital displays, with remote control as standard.

WILCOMATIC

• Wilcomatic is part of the Walker Greenbank Group and, as Europe's largest vehicle washer sales and service organisation, it offers a comprehensive range of automatic washers to suit all types of CV and PSV.
