• Stong sales of its buses, waste vehicles and fire engines helped boost Hestair engineering division's profits from £1.53 million to E2.83 million in the six months to 31 July.
Dennis Eagle was the best performer for the second year running, but good improvements were made by Dennis Specialist Vehicles and Duple, it says.
Hestair's overall profits doubled before tax from 25.03 million to £10.1 million.
