A SPECIAL PAPER on the effects of Mrs. Castle's licensing proposals will be given by TRTA secretary Mr. H. R. Featherstone at the Association's Blackpool Conference (October 11-14).
Applications for TRTA membership have soared since the proposals were outlined— a sign that traders are recognizing the imminence of the threat to own-account operators.
Yorkshire divisional TRTA committee last week decided to call urgent meetings at Leeds, Sheffield, Hull and Scarborough to focus attention on the effects of the proposals.
