• One of the two Crompton Electricars' electric buses is now operating on an experimental basis in Norwich. The bus, which has already been in experimental use in other parts of the country, is being used in Norwich between the railway station and the Norfolk and Norwich hospital — a distance of one mile. The vehicle has a range of approximately 35 miles and a top speed of 25 mph and is on loan from the Department of the Environment.
