A RRANOEMENTS were made for the rA trial operation of a Daimler Fleet-line rear-engined double-decker by Coventry City Transport to be extended for a fortnight during the recent Cathedral Festival period. It has been agreed that vehicles of this type are to be specified in addition to orthodox forward-engined buses in the forthcoming invitation for tenders for new rolling stock. The currrent Coventry fleet includes 324 double-deckers. all of which are of the forward-engined, rear-entrance type.
