Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FODENS will announce a new lorry range, later this year, and will show it to the public for the first time during the Scottish Motor Show at Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, in November.

This surprise news leaked out after a statement to shareholders by the Fodens Board following the most recent Rolls-Royce offer.

The new models will be the Haulmaster and Fleetmaster both right-hand drive tractive units aimed at the British market with the Universal three-axle machine renamed the Super Haulmaster.

As expected, the new trucks will use the latest S90 all-steel cab available only in non-sleeper form.

While the Haulmaster could be considered 'Conventional Foden' with its Foden greabox and worm axle, the Fleetmaster breaks new ground by using a Fuller RTO 9509A constant-mesh box and a single reduction Rockwell R-180 axle. The clutch is a 368mm (141/2in) diameter twin-dry-plate Rockwell design.

The usual Cummins, Gardner and Rolls-Royce engine options will be available with the higher-powered versions going in the Fleetmaster and the lower-powered in the Haulmaster.

For example the Haulmaster will offer the 265L from Rolls-Royce with the 290L (announced in CM last week) going in the Fleetmaster.

The prototype for the Fleetmaster, complete with Cummins NTC 335 engine, Fuller gearbox and Rockwell axle, was first seen at the Amsterdam Show in 1974.

Continuing as the Super Haulmaster, the Universal range of three-axle trucks goes up to 100 tons gross.

One of the reasons for the new names was to get away from the cumbersome type number system used by Fodens for many years.
