I've just had a note from a haulage engineer Who is irate about something completely different: a letter from an engineering and service company telling him that in future a standard minimum of £25 will be charged for every service job undertaken, and £5 for any one order of spare parts. Says my haulier correspondent: "They deserve to go bankrupt."
If other operators' reactions are the same as his, perhaps they will.
