Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Ins truck is bad enough. What tends to be overlooked is that there could be loss of use as well. Just taking out comprehensive insurance cover on your vehicle is not enough.

Loss of use cover is available from Gordon Smart, a director of Cambridgeshirebased insurance brokers Robert & Davis Ltd. Up to 80 per cent of leasing charges or hire charges are covered for vehicle replacement following accidental damage, fire or theft anywhere in Great Britain or Western Europe. This cover applies irrespective of who is to blame for the accident. It is a truly "no fault" scheme. Further, no evidence of the proposer's insurance claims experience is required.

Premiums range from £25 a year for cover of £100 a week for up to five weeks while the insured vehicle is off the road, rising by £25 per £1(10 of required cover up to a limit of £1,000 per week. But note that there is no payment for the first three days of any loss.

A small premium load is imposed for vehicles insured third party and also for drivers aged 21-25 (only those with "clean" licences are considered). Extra premium applies to vehicles used in Western Europe.
