• Three Brighton members of the TSSA have written to the union's journal (August number) to comment on a laudatory article on rail express parcels in the July issue.
-Being in parcels work for a number of years," they write. "we consider the situation is slowly deteriorating and this gives us great cause for alarm as to our personal futures. Transit times become longer as more 'Concentration' depots are introduced. These (are] often further aggravated by terminal delays in delivery due to the non-supply of suitable cartage by National Carriers Ltd. . . the staff in this depot are very concerned that 'Express Parcels' really live up to their title."
