• Renault will display a wide range of new technology at the Paris Show, including a unit pump injection system on a Mack E7; carbon fibre brakes; braking by wire and a new diagnostic computer.
Its stand will cover an acre with 32 vehicles including Mack trucks and Karosa buses.
The company has also reduced the weight of its nine and 18-speed B-Series gearboxes by up to 100kg by using an aluminium casing.
Registrations of Renaults over 17 tonnes have risen by 33% to 860 for the first eight months of 1995.
