• Peter Lane Transport Group and Keeling & Sons have together set up a new division of Peter Lane, called Bull Force, to handle a threeyear contract-hire deal from Castle Cement (Ketton).
Based at Peter Lane's Bristol regional freight centre, the new division has purchased 15 new Volvo FL10 tractor units, fitted with bulk powder tankers and Tautliners. It has also employed 18 new staff-15 drivers, two transport managers and a contract director. All the liveried vehicles and staff will be used solely on the Castle contract.
Bulk Force now transports all bagged and bulk cement to the South-West out of Castle Cement's newly-opened Avonmouth production terminal.
