Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Keywords : Pontypridd

• An hour after the appointed time for G. H. Transport Co Ltd, of Pontypridd, to appear under Section 69 before the South Wales LA, Mr Ronald Jackson, at Cardiff last week, no representative of the firm had appeared and judgment was given in its absence.

Mr Jackson said the company had eight vehicles specified on its 0 licence expressed to expire in June 1976. It had been convicted on two counts of overloading in June this year. In June 1972 two immediate GV9s had been issued, and in August 1972 further GV9s and, as the result of these matters, said Mr Jackson, he had suspended four vehicles for three months.

In view of the record of the firm and its non-attendance at the present inquiry and also in the absence of any communication, said Mr Jackson, he had no alternative but to revoke the licence — and this he did "with immediate effect".
