CJORMAL CONTROL MODELS. For those operators who hold a preference for this type of vehicle there is a full line-up available, catering for payloads from 3 to 7 tons. G.V.W.'s range from 13,400 lb. to 25,000 lb., G.C.W.'s from 29,000 lb. to 45,000 lb. Single and twospeed axle options on most models. On high tonnage models there is also a choice of three diesel power units, all being equipped with a five-speed gearbox. Wooden and steel tipper bodies with fixed or dropsides available. FORWARD CONTROL TRACTORS. New 14 ton tractor suitable forfifth-wheel type coupling has a G.C.W. of 45,000 lb., 410 Cu. in. engine, 14 in. diameter clutch, extra duty five-speed gearbox (overdrive unit optional), type 18802 11 two-speed axle and air over hydraulic brakes. The 12 ton tractor (G.C.W. 40,500 lb.) is available for either automatic or fifth-wheel type coupling. A first class specification includes the high rated 354 Cu. in. diesel and type 16802 two-speed axle. 370 Cu. in. engine and type 18802 ll axle optional on fifth-wheel coupling model.
FORWARD CONTROL MODELS. Payload ratings range from 5 to 9 tons, G.V.W.'s from 19,250 lb. to 31,400 lb., G.C.W.'s from 29,000 lb. to 45,000 lb. In each model group there is a choice of three wheelbase lengths and single and two-speed axle options. Within the series a combination of four different capacity engines up to 410 Cu. in., three sizes of clutch and three types of gearbox results in a model with the right characteristics for a wide variety of hauling assignments. A high load/space ratio enables a wide variety of bodywork to be accommodated. Wooden and steel tipper bodies available. FORWARD CONTROL MULTI-AXLE MODELS. Trailing axle and tandem drive models available in long and short wheelbase lengths. The trailing axle chassis has a nominal payload rating of 10111 tons and a G.V.W. of 35,800 lb. (Maximum G.C.W. 45,000 lb.). Choice of three diesel power units-354, 370 and 410 Cu. in. Type 16802 two-speed driving axle (type 18802 II optional). 12 ton tandem drive models with transfer box, lockable differential and 410 Cu. in. diesel, have a G.V.W. of 40,500 lb. and G.C.W. of 45,000 lb. All models feature an hydraulically actuated clutch, five-speed gearbox (overdrive unit optional on tandem drive models), and air/hydraulic brakes.
