TN Glasgow on Friday, Edgar (House Furnishers). Ltd., of Coatbridge, applied successfully to the Scottish Licensing Authority, Mr. W. F. Quin, for B licences for two vehicles used for furnishings and household removals, continuing the business of the late Mr. H. E. Graham. In buying the business the applicant understood• that the sale implied the transfer of the licences; no written data were available to show the nature or extent of the removal side and Mr. Quin had continued the case for submission of evidence.

Appearance of the applicant was required to give such evidence as had now been prepared and after consideration Mr. Quin granted the licences.

"I thought the transfer would be automatic," Mr. Livingston; the buyer of the business, stated.

"A lot of people come into this court with that idea, but it is quite wrong," Mr. Quin commented.
