• Wessex Industries, through a newly formed subsidiary company known as Stephens Industrial Vehicles Ltd., have acquired from H. Stephens, Son and Co, (Gloucester) Ltd., all its assets which are involved in the manufacture of i.c. engined industrial trucks and tractors. This gives Wessex, electric tractor and truck manufacturers, an interest in the heavy end of the petrol, diesel and LP. gas-engined industrial truck and tractor market.
