transport IVIvehicles are in operation in America for the purpose of carrying, defence materials, according to the U.S. Office of Production Management (Priorities Division). Because most defence products are each manufactured in several ,different establishments and , huge volumes of materials and components are moved from plant to plant by road transport, American highways have definitely become part of the defence assembly line. As a result of this importance of road transport during the emergency, the Priorities
Division has issued a .blanket order favouring raw-material deliveries to vehicle and trailer manufacturers. No limitation will be placed on the manufacture of heavy lorries.
