cil of the Road Haulage Association elected Mr_ James Barrie as chairman in succession to Mr. Bernard Wintcrbottom, whose two-year tenure of office had expired. Mr. Barrie is head of John Barrie (Contractor), Ltd„ Glasgow, • and was formerly a vicechairman of the Association.
Mr. C. W. H. Sparrow, Mr. J. H. Male and Mr. R. G. Crowther Were reelected vice-chairmen and Mr. J. IL G. Barber, of Victory Transport, Ltd., Northam, Southampton, was newly elected a vice-chairman. Mr. Barber is a former chairman of the Southern Area.
