NO conclusions have yet been reached by the Road Research Laboratory on the question whether road safety would be increased by lengthening the period of summer time. The Ministry of Transport is awaiting a further report.
Representatives of the insurance companies are willing to to-operate in a new road safety campaign.
The compulsory testing of vehicles over 10 years old will be started as early as possible next year.
These facts emerged in Parliament last week.
