DAWSON WILLIAMS, takes over as regional engineering executive for the south region of National Bus Company, based at Oxford, from July 1,1984.

Mr Williams, who is 45, is currently general manager of Eastern Counties Omnibus Co at Norwich. Since May this year he has held the general managership of Amalgamated Passenger Transport, a specialised engineering company within the NBC Group at Lincoln. Eastern Counties is to be restructured into three smaller companies in September.

After joining the industry as an apprentice with Neath & Cardiff Luxury Coaches in 1954, Mr Williams spent a year working with the Jamaica Omnibus Service. He returned to Britain in 1964, joining Ribble where he became area engineer (central) before moving to Crosville as assistant chief engineer in 1973. He was appointed chief engineer at Hants & Dorset three years later, then took over at Eastern Counties in April 1982.
