THIS WEEK'S USED truck of the week is a 2007-built SDC curtainsided tri-axle trailer.
It is being sold by its manufacturer SDC Trailers, out of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. There is a choice of trailers, all are 13.6m long and 4m high. The axles are ROR and are fitted with drum brakes.
SDC Trailers will refurbish the trailer with new curtains and paintwork to any requirement.
More trailers are starting to appear on the used market after five, six, or seven years service to get a revamp and re-enter service. This helps to keep the rolling stock fresh and creates a healthy alternative for operators looking to buy used stock.
Commercial Motorwill be looking more closely at the curtainsided trailer next week (21 February) and there is a forthcoming feature on the used trailers depot at Sutton-in-Ashfield.
