BLACKPOOL transport committee is to consider proposals for further increases early in the summer in busand tram fares following a financial report which indicates that services in the town will plunge almost flAm into the red this year. Fares went up only a month ago.
A loss of £173,035 on the seafront trams is expected, but it was argued that as the service is .a summer attraction for visitors it should receive a special municipal subsidy.
