1 up to 253, Uttar Pradesh Roadways, India, have ordered a further 65 of these models from Ashok-Leyland, Ltd., Madras. Bombay Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking have now placed orders for 20 Comets from the company, and Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service a repeat order for 15. A further 10 are required by Madras Government Transport, who will build their own bodies.
