• Seddon Atkinson is to drop the Cablecraft cableoperated gear linkage from its Strata heavy truck range and replaced it with a mechanical rod linkage. According to SA the change is expected to improve shift quality. A mechanical linkage will not be available as a retrofit. SA is also expected to announce its Euro-2 engine line-up for October 1996 soon—it will include the Cummins M11 in-line six.
