P&A Haulage and one of its drivers, have resulted in fines and costs totalling £1,725 from the Oswestry Magistrates. Peter Jones, of Idea Pdwfadog, Llangollen, admitted exceeding 41/2 hours' driving without the required break, exceeding nine hours' driving in a day, and taking insufficient daily and weekly rest. The Mon da, Oswestry-based company admitted permitting the offences.

Defending, Stuart Jones said P&A Haulage was a small firm running 10 vehicles. The company could not he in the cab with its employees and did not have the manpower to check charts thoroughly.
