IN The Clayton Jones Group bus companies succeeded in he High Court on Monday in ;uspending a revocation order in its licences by South Wales leputy traffic commissioner 3errard Sullivan.

The High Court ruling means bat the companies can coninue operating until the trans)ort tribunal decides if the :ase should be reconsidered.

After the hearing Clayton ones, a director and shareholler of the companies, said: "I im very pleased we have been ;iven a breathing space to )rove our innocence."

The four companies con:erned — Shamrock Private iire Services (Newport), :lay-ton Jones Coach Tours, :eltic Connection and Rhondda ['ravel, appeared before SuIliran in Cardiff last Thursday. At bat hearing Sullivan revoked be licences of the four cornianies and disqualified Clayton ,ones and his wife from holding ir obtaining a licence for four fears.

Sullivan refused a request br a stay, pending an appeal to be transport tribunal, because le found that "there was an Aement of danger to the pubic." However, at the High :ourt on Monday, Justice Keniedy ruled that the companies should be allowed to continue :o operate pending a hearing.
