The first commercial vehicle show at the National Exhibition Centre is developing into quite a bonanza. Quite apart from what we will be doing on our stand, and that's plenty, the others are all going to be busy.
The biggest surprise will surely be the cavalcade organised by the normally quiet Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. Following a Motoring Festival at Stoneleigh from August 26 to 28, when SMMT will present prizes to the best British and best foreign car and commercial vehicles, they will parade them through Coventry and Birmingham to NEC The cavalcade is jointly sponsored by SM MT and the Institute of British Carriage and Automobile Manufacturers.
'There will be 700 exhibitors at this year's show occupying all six halls. The dates in case you missed them in our 1978 calendar are October 20 to 29.
