Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

With reference to H. Gray's letter, I as one driver welcome Wahl and have asked to join the long waiting list. Can any London operators say they have a waiting list before they even have the coaches?

It's about time the London operator got kicked in the teeth as they pay the drivers the lowest wages anywhere in the world. The driver does two or three runs a day at say £150, or at the lowest £100 a day, the driver receiving £6 to £8 a day.

What will have to go up when the EEC rules come into force? Wages will have to go up, but will London companies pay them?

Is Mr Gray worried about back-to-back tours? This is what most London companies do — meet the flight at London Airport and only take parties to Windsor or Oxford for the day, whereas Wahl will meet the party and stay with them.

Yes, Wahl has got the money to have these coaches, unlike one company I know who have seven new Bedfords and say they own them, when they are on lease!

Yes Mr Gray, drivers are not as thick as they look. I would like to know whether Mr Gray loses any drivers to Wahl. I know I'm going!

So all drivers welcome foreign coach operators as it can only be for the best. Just look at their coaches compared with ours — or rather don't!
