Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FOX TRAILERS LTD., of Speke, Liverpool, have produced a conversion for application to any tractive unit fitted with M.H. or equivalent automatic coupling, which completes conversion to fifth-wheel in only seconds.

The S.A.E./S.M.M.T. coupling is mounted on pivots which allow the fifth wheel to fold over through 1800 in such a position that when folded to the rear the ideal king-pin centre is achieved; operation is by hand-powered hydraulics. By pumping up the rams until the fifth-wheel assembly is vertical, pushing the unit over centre and releasing the hydraulic pressure, the operation is simple and requires little effort, gravity being used to compress the hydraulics back to the lowered position. When not in use the fifth-wheel lies Bat upside down on the chassis immediately behind the cab.
