AN estimated £10,000 a year will result from increases in fares proposed by Wallasey Corporation. The transport undertaking is faced with a -deficit of £16,000 on buses at the end of the financial year. The remaining £6,000 will be met by departmental economies and by increased revenue from workmen's fares, which were recently raised.
In the past three years the buses had lost 6m. passengers, said Cllr, E. T. Rollins.
