THIS DODGE (formally Commer) 2500 wheelchair-carrying ambulance is the first to be fitted with the new 305mm (12in) "high-top" grp roof by Rootes Maidstone Ltd.

With this design, Rootes Maidstone has added an interior height option of 1.68m (5ft 6in) as an alternative to the standard 1.37m (4ft 6in).

Ratcliffe Foldaway tail-lifts are provided on the majority of the Rootes Maidstone Dodges which also incorporate a folding guard rail for fitment to one side of the lift platform.

The Dodge can carry payload combinations ranging from three persons in wheelchairs and six seated to one stretcher case and seven seated, or just 12 seated passengers.
