MR. S. F. DERBYSHIRE will relinquish his post as general production manager of the British Aluminium Co., Ltd., next month, upon reaching retirement age. He will remain in a consultative capacity for a time. MR. W. B. C. PERRYCOSTE and MR. J. SALTER Will become joint general production managers. MR. P. T. ENSOR has been appointed general manager of the Canadian British Aluminium Co. MR. A. R. WYME has become works manager designate of the C.B.A.C. project at Baie Comeau.

MR. B. C. BAKER has been appointed sales manager of the export division, in London, of Leyland Motors, Ltd. For the past three years he has been assistant export manager. MR. W. K. CUNLIFFE, general sales contract superintendent for the past five years, has become sales secretary. He will be responsible for the co-ordination of Leyland, Albion and Scammell sales. He joined the Leyland export division in 1947. MR. E. R. DAY has become general sales contract superintendent. MR_ C. W. SPENCE, formerly. Scottish district sales manager, has been appointed sales superintendent (manufacturing agreements) at Leyland, and will be responsible for liaison between the company and overseas companies which have entered into agreements with the Leyland organization.

MR. T. H. L. PARISH, chief instructor of the training school of F. Perkins, Ltd., having recently completed a 4,000mile lecture tour of Britain, has set off on another tour of 3,000 miles.

LORD BUCKHURST Will On February 1 join the headquarters organization of the British Electric Traction Co., Ltd., and will be appointed to the boards of a number of the underlying companies.

MR. J. C. CRAGG has been appointed area manager, Canterbury branch, of Lombard Banking, Ltd. MR. N. L. FRYER is a new business representative of the company's London branch. He will cover East London.

CAPT. F. G. A. Tr rEoBALD, publicity manager and public relations officer of Wadham Bros., Ltd., Waterlooville, has retired after being with the company since 1927, except for war service. His successor is MR. BRYAN R. HEATH.

SIR GUTHRIE RUSSELL has joined the board of Henry Meadows, Ltd. He has spent the greater part of his working life on Indian railways. He joined the Disposals Group of the Control Commission in Germany in 1948," retiring at the end of 1952.

MR. Aux FRASER, vice-chairman and managing director of Girling, Ltd., and MR. J. W. KINCHIN, director and chief engineer, are to visit the United States to discuss with the Fawick Corporation, of Cleveland, Ohio, the manufacture of Girling two-trailingshoe brakes in the U.S. under licence.

MR. C. CLENCH and MR. C. HAYES have been appointed executive directors of Automotive Products Co., Ltd., and its associated companies, the Lockheed and Borg and Beck concerns. Other new executive directors are MR. A. R. W. MURRAY, MR. F. ROW ARTH, MR. P. A. RIP PON, MR. J. K. SIMPSON, MR. H. UNSWORTH and MR. D. J. WATKINS.

MR. K. C. MCCARTHY, formerly assistant manager of the Castrol division of C. C. Wakefield and Co., Ltd., is to be sales promotion manager of the division and deputy to MR. C. E: R.

MILLIDGE, the manager. M. E. E. HuonEs, formerly sales manager, midwest region, is to be assistant manager of the division, and MR. J. PICKERING will sucaeed him as sales manager.
