• K S Winston, UK distributor for OE engine component manufacturer Kolbenschmidt, is looking to include maintenance engineers in its customer base.
Pistons, liners, bearings and valves for most European truck engines are available at prices below those of the manufacturers' agents, the company claims.
"If you have a Mercedes or a
Volvo its our name on the bits inside the engine not theirs."
Winston is also the importer for Elring gaskets and sealing compounds. Its customers for both product ranges are mostly engine remanufacturers but it is looking to commercial fleets and workshops to expand on that base.
