..rt high-capacity city service buses, worth ±.2T.T million, has been won by Leyland Motors Ltd„ together with their Danish subsidiary, Dansk Automobil Byggcri A.S. The buses are for Copenhagen Tramways and will be similar to a prototype exhibited at the U,I.T.P. Congress in Copenhagen in 1961.

The buses will be of integral construction. employing aluminium and glassfibre extensively to give an unladen weight of less than seven tons, making them amongst the lightest high-capacity buses in production today (the prototype had a seating capacity of 81). All running units will be of Leyland manufacture, including the 0.680 underfloor diesel engine, semi-automatic PneumoCyclic gearbox, power-assisted steering, air brakes and air suspension.
