Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

rTIWO transport-cum-publicity vans embodying advertising features which are unusual so far as bodies on motor vehicles are concerned have recently been supplied to the Fruit Trades' Federations, 10, New Bridge Street, London, E.C.4, The maker of the attractive bodies of these vehicles is the Kilburn Motor Works, Ltd., Shirland Mews, Paddington, London, W., which concern Las mounted them on examples of the 12-24 h.p, Citron chassis, equipped with Dunlop lowpressure tyres of 28-in. by 4.95-in. dimensions.

The body of each vehicle is of a similar pattern. The interior is 6 ft. 8 ins. long from the driver's seat to the extreme rear, 4 ft. 6 ins, wide at its top, 3 ft. 10 ins, broad at its base and 5 ft. 2 ins. deep.

The main publicity feature of the vehicle comprises two multi-coloured discs placed behind large circular lights, one on each side of the body. These discs are mounted at the extreme ends of a light shaft, which is carried horizontally across the interior of the vehicle. They are coloured with spiral stripes of blue, gold, red and yellow and can be made to revolve fairly rapidly by means of a small 6-volt motor, which is controlled by a standard pattern switch. When this apparatus is placed in motion, an optical illusion is created in which the colours appear to flow towards the edges of the discs. The effect thus created is most striking. 'The illusion is enhanced by the radiating designs which are painted on the panels surrounding the 'Circular lights. Two small lamps behind each light . are provided to illuminate the apparatus at night.

With regard to general details, the body is panelled in Sundea/a. There are two doors to the driver's compartment and Accommodation is provided for One passenger beside the driver. Both the seats are upholstered with blue leather, and that situated at the near side of the vehicle is made to hinge backwards 80 as to facilitate acc'ess to the interior. • • .

These vans are to be used for the conveyance of advertising matter, in the form of showcards, posters; etc., to the retail fruiterers who are members of the Fruit Trades' Federations. The vehicles are neatly finished in light blue and their appearance is greatly aided by gold-leaf lettering and coloured designs.
