Brief Specification :

11 ft, wheelbase chassis, with grease-gun lubrication; 85 x 120 mm. engine ; oil consumption 800 m.p.g. ; Simms SF4 magneto ; 4-speed gear box ; propeller shaft enclosed in sphericallyheaded divided torque tube with central roller bearing ; the Dennis highefficiency worm drive. A full dynamo ,lighting set with battery and 5 lamps, electric horn, speedometer and mileage recorder all form part of the equipment. Fitted with Avon air-cushion tyres, 300 Guineas.

Extra—Avon pneumatic tyres, 33 x 5 front, 34 x 7 rear, with spare wheel and tyre, £25. Note; 7 in. tyres are the smalbest size for rear wheels our experience permits us to recommend to ensure a satisfactory mileage, allowing for a reasonable overload.

Several features of additional merit have been embodied in this chassis in the light of the experience gained from the thousands in daily service.

The frame is now 26r from the ground — a reduction of 2". Four adjustable springs are used in the clutch, and the propeller shaft runs in a self-aligning ball-bearing housed in the divided torque tube. The brake shoes, which are lined with die-pressed fabric, r thick, are constructed with complete eyes at their pivoting ends, to eliminate the possibility of chatter.

Other noteworthy points include the use of chrome vanadium steel for the road springs, the 1.1" front spindles and the external petrol filler. !
