• The activities at present undertaken by the National Freight Federation (NFC) Ltd are being merged with those of the National Freight Corporation. This information has been given to the white-collar trade unions involved, by an officer of the Federation.

The letter from the NFF points out that this does not mean that the Federation will be immediately disbanded. It will remain a legal entity for the time being but, from a date to be agreed, the staff to be transferred will receive a formal letter terminating their employment with the National Freight Federation and offering employment with the NFC.
