Enfield haulier sells out

HOWE (EUROPEAN), the international road haulage contractor based in Enfield, Middlesex, has been sold to Aston Clinton Haulage of Aylesbury. Howe was part of Alltransport International and its fleet was engaged exclusively on international haulage. Aston Clinton has purchased all Howe's vehicles but not the Enfield depot. A spokesman for Aston Clinton told CM that the Howe vehicles will be operated from the Aylesbury depot.

He said that Howe's 16 Volvo and Scania tractive units, plus the 29 trailers, will continue to be operated in their original livery.

They will also continue to run on international routes, supplementing Aston Clinton's existing fleet of 25 Volvos and Scanias and 40 trailers.
