Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Further significant evidence of the growth of the operations of the Trent Motor Traction Co., Ltd., whose activities now extend to Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and parts of Staffordshire, was afforded by the recent opening, at Nottingham, of a new and up-to-date garage which has been erected in Manvers Street, in the centre of the city, for the accommodation of the constantly developing fleet of the company's vehicles.

The laud selected for the purpose was formerly the site of a mass of squalid industrial dwellings, which have been demolished under a comprehensive scheme of municipal improvement. There, upon lines similar to those which were adopted in planning the company's first establishment at Derby, admirable arrangements have been Made, affording at present room for 45 buses, with possibilities of substantial structural exten

sions. The fixing of overhead hose pipes for washing the buses at night forms one of the features of the work. The general efficiency of the arrangements was commented upon by a large company that assembled at the opening ceremony, under the presidency of Aid. W. Hart, of Derby, chairman of the company ; the Mayor of Nottingham (Aid. Charles Poulds) performing the inaugural function, which marks a notable advance in the enterprise of a progressive Midland undertaking.
