• M&T Haulage of Theale, is to close, making 26 drivers redundant.
The decision to wind up the general haulier was made by its parent company, ATH Holdings of Wilerihall, West Midlands, which had ordered the sale of the firm's workshop equipment and its fleet of more than 25.
One of M&T's directors, Ralph Casbeard, is understood to be setting up a haulage firm in Reading.
