Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ALTHOUGH the slump in new vehicle sales continues, there are signs that the used heavy lorry market is coming out of the depression, British Car Auctions have announced a significant increase in sales throughout their branches, and the story is the same at Bristol-based West Country Commercials. "There has been a definite rise with tractive units being most sought after,'' a spokesman said.

Keith Hughes, of Scantruck Ltd, Purfleet, Essex, has also reported an improvement in used vehicles sales. "We are selling more tractive units now, but this increase is only marginal." He went on to say that there has been little change in the prices of used vehicles.

Not all dealers, however, have the same story to tell. Martin Clowes of Staffordshire Trucks Service told CM: "Good used vehicles are hard to find, but when they're found they sell quickly."
