INCREASING numbers of private companies are participating in th waste disposal industry, equipped with Scapa Garwood LP900 rc fuse disposal clinics.

The vehicles, available in two sizes — 25cuyd and 32cuyd capacity — are manufactured by Scapa Engineering, part of the Blackburn-based Scapa Group. They are fitted with powerful hydraulic skip-loading gear capable of fitting 14cuyd skips, weighing up to five tons. The 25cuyd vehicle is able to handle up to ten tons of compacted material. Depending upon the density of the material, up to 12 skips can be compacted.
