Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Edward Hirst, Northern manager of Commercial Motor, has a remarkable memory. Having read my piece about Leyland model names (August 17) he reeled off 46 "frozen" titles from what he described as "the majestic days of the old companies." They came from AEC, Albion, Crossley, Daimler, Guy, Leyland, Maudslay, Scammei', Star and Thornycroft.

How many readers, I wonder, remember the Star Flyer?

Edward thinks Bull as a name for the projetted Leyland T45 might be open to misconstrue tion and suggests either Mammoth Major (from AEC) or Dreadnought (from Thornycroft). Whatever it is called officially, it will undoubtedly be known as a Juggernaut.
