As usual, the stands of these wholesalers are the largest in this section at the Glasgow Show and innumerable items are included in the displays. It is always surprising how sonie exhibitors can get as much equiment as they do in the space available and this is well illustrated by the display of Swan, Tennent and McMeekin (Stand 145) where equipment manufactured by some 30 different companies can be seen. These cover the whole field of vehicle repair and maintenance and there is a special display of Blackhawk frame and bodystraightening equipment and of Tropical paraffin-powered space heaters which are available with outputs ranging up to 1,000,000 b.t.u. per hour.

Another garage equipment wholesaler with a wide variety of equipment on view is James Robertson (Factors) Ltd. (Stand 143) and included in items from Tecalemit there is the new brakebleeding and testing equipment which enables one man to bleed the brakes of a vehicle very quickly. There is a lot of duplication of manufacturers represented amongst the exhibitors of garage equipment and E W. Murray (Stand 139) and Lawrie Bros. Ltd. (Stand 144) both feature Westinghouse-ME workshop equipment, Epco jacks and triangle welding equiPment amongst other things.

On the stand of Thomson and Brown Bros. Ltd. devoted to garage equipment (137) demonstrations are being given of Ingersoll-Rand Impactools and the Permutit purified-water dispenser. Like the others, the Thomson and Brown display covers all aspects of modern servicing and includes the latest Crypton electronic engine test equipment, lubrication equipment and specialized tools.

Of special interest to those engaged on refinishing vehicles are ICI paints and various items of spray-paint equipment and body repair equipment. On the other Thomson and Brown stand (170) in the accessory section, ICI paints are featured and there is a special presentation of the Krooklok anti-theft device.
