I T is noticeable that at this year's Show at Kelvin Hall, Austin are concentrating on the heavier-weight models— primarily from the FE range—whilst the stands having Morris vehicles have a much wider payload spread. These range _ from Mini-van 5-cwt. models up to the F.1 8-tonner.

Mini-vans are displayed by Central Garage and McLay's Garage and these two companies also have on their stands Morris -1--ton normal-control models. Central Garage shows a pick-up, whilst McLay's Garage has a van version, A third exhibit by Central Garage is a Morris FJ 7-ton tipper fitted with a BMC 5-7-litre diesel. Edbro front-of-body twin-ram tipping gear and timber tipping body are fitted. McLay's Garage also has an FJ exhibit, this being an 8-ton tipper with Edbro 7 cu. yd. body and tipping gear and a fourth vehicle on this stand is an LD M20 1-ton van.

There are two examples of Morris FG 3-tonners. John Gibson show one with a special Luton-van body in Plymax with a one-piece plastics roof, and the Fife Motor Co. has an example with a body fitted out as a mobile grocer's shop. A second vehicle on the Fife Motor Co. stand is another mobile shop, this being for bakery use and based on an FG 1-5-ton chassis. And accompanying the FG on the Gibson stand is an FF 5-ton dropsider, the only example of this BMC model in the Glasgow Show.

Four vehicles are featured by Westfield Autocar, a Mini 5 cwt. pick-up, a 6 cwt. van, a 12 16/18 cwt. milk float and an FJ 8-ton tipper. This last vehicle has a Telehoist 7 cu. yd. steel tipper body and Telehoist tipping gear. An FJ is also shown by Win. Gillespie, this being a 7-tonner, and appropriately for a Scottish Show has special bodywork designed for the transfer of whisky barrels. This exhibit has a special design of Luton head which allows the Fir cab to be tilted.

A. and 17. Fraser is an associate company of Westfield Autocar and the display of these two companies is complementary. On the Fraser stand there are three Morris commercial vehicles, a -1--ton van, a diesel-engined 14 10/12-cwt. van with automatic transmission, and an FJK 360 I8-ton-gross tractive unit . with Taskers 12-ton semi-trailer which is shown carrying a 16 ft. 6 in. light-alloy container.

Two small Morris commercials are featured by Armour Motors, these being a Mini-van and a pick-up version of the van based on the Morris 1000 car.,
