Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

of each of them the prices for 1930 show a considerable reduction. The largest model-namely, the T60, which is suitable for 4-ton loads of goods or 28-30-seater passenger bodies—has been reduced from £825 to £725. Five examples are shown on the stand, including two T19B chassis, one equipped as a boarded tilt van and the other as a patent sheep float. The tilt van provides more. than 360 cubic ft. of loading space, amply protected against the weather. The body is panelled to a depth of 3 ft. 7-k ins, on each side, the upper structure being built of ash hoop-sticks, covered by tonguedand-grooved boards and finished in weather-resisting canvas. The sheep float may be employed for carrying three beasts, or as a double-deck vehicle for transporting sheep, pigs or young calves. If desired, the top deck could be used as a canopy over the beasts. The rear is fitted with a long loading ramp, giving easy access to the interior.

Turning now to the passenger models, the appearance of the T30 chassis has

been considerably improved by raising the radiator and fitting a new bonnet, which gives a more streamlined effect. This chassis is shown as a 20-seater coach with body constructed by London *Lorries, Ltd., and incorporating that concern's popular Plein-Azur sliding roof. There are two doors on the near side and one on the off side for the

driver. The price complete is £1,030. The T42 model is shown as a 24-passenger saloon bus, with Duple body, and it sells for £1,075, whilst the T60 chassis is seen on the stand with a 26seater bus body, also by Duple Bodies and Motors, Ltd., the price of the complete vehicle being £1,265.

The features of the' G.M.C. chassis are very well known; the three senior models having six-cylindered overheadvalve engines and the smallest model having a six-eylindered side-valve power unit, the bore of which is 3Ains., whilst the stroke is 3i ins, The T60 model has an engine of 3i-in. bore and 5-in, stroke, this being the well-known Master Buick power unit, -Which is incorporated in the largest Buick motor cars. The two intermediate models have the standard Buick engine of 3A-in. bore and 4g-in. stroke. All models have four-speed gearboxes, the three smaller chassis having spiralbevel, semi-floating rear axles, whilst the T60 type, which is suitable for-a 4-ton goods-carrying body, has a fully floating worm-driven rear axle.
